Empowering All Learners with the Read&Write Extension
The Read&Write extension provides powerful, inclusive tools that support diverse learners across reading, writing, research, and organization tasks. In this interactive session, participants will explore how this accessibility-focused extension can remove barriers, promote student independence, and enhance engagement across content areas.
Through hands-on demonstrations, educators will learn how features such as text-to-speech, word prediction, picture dictionaries, voice notes, screen masking, audio maker, and PDF accessibility tools can be seamlessly integrated into daily instruction. We will examine practical classroom applications for general education, ENL, and special education settings, including strategies that align with UDL principles and support IEP accommodations.
Participants will leave with ready-to-use ideas, model activities, and a deeper understanding of how Read&Write empowers learners to access grade-level content, demonstrate their understanding, and confidently navigate digital learning environments.
